Doncaster East Internal Drainage Board covers a total area of 21,955 hectares and forms part of a wider catchment of 34,860 hectares that drains to and includes the district. Within this area, 14,580 hectares comprise agricultural land, while a further 7,375 hectares consist of non agricultural land. The district’s water management infrastructure includes 7 water level control structures, 313.3 kilometres of maintained watercourses, and 26 stations, all of which contribute to the effective regulation of water levels and the ongoing protection of the surrounding landscape.
