Isle of Axholme and North Nottinghamshire Water Level Management Board

Isle of Axholme and North Nottinghamshire Water Level Management Board covers a total area of 28,950 hectares, forming part of a wider catchment of 35,500 hectares that drains to and includes the district. Within this area, 26,245 hectares comprise agricultural land, while a further 2,705 hectares consist of non agricultural land. The district’s water management infrastructure includes 17 water level control structures, 448.3 kilometres of maintained watercourses, and 20 pumping stations, all of which contribute to the effective regulation of water levels and the protection of the surrounding landscape.
